I tried installing vmnetx 3 in Windows 10 in Fusion 10.1.2 with driver from 10.2.5 Tools, in my MacBook Pro 2014 running macOS 10.13.6 but it didn't work - the driver couldn't start.
So back to Intel MT 1000 driver (E1G6032E.sys).
But should it work better than the Intel driver from 2010 in a W2008R2 VM on a MacPro 2010?

We have ESX 6.5 U1 which gets accessed only through web client. HBA card entry present under "Storage->Adapater" but not able to find its WWN. I can get this info from CLI but I want to see it on web client UI. Could you please help?
2) Also, a LUN has been mapped from one of Hitachi Storage to this ESX 6.5U1 but it's(LUN) not visible on ESX despite trying all options. Could you please give possible solutions?

After much frustration of trying to figure it out, I give up. Does anyone know how to get Putty to display the matching ESXi thumbprint? I do not get the same thumbprint from Putty when connecting to an ESXi 6.5 host compared to the thumbprint shown in ESXi support info or rui.crt.

One of the more recent Manjaro updates (At earliest the April 22 17.1.8 stable update) has left the remote console behind. A few upgrades ago I was able to prevent the breakage by adding librsvg to my package ignore list, but after this update, I have no way to track back through every package to figure out what broke the remote console.

It looks like the remote console doesn't recognize the symbol listed. Additionally, the installer is unable to launch the GUI.
Is there a way to get the console compiled from the latest source and get the dependencies fixed up?

vRO 6.0.2 external appliance with vRA plugin for 6.2.2 installed and configured including component registry authentication for vRA.
Distributed install with signed SSL certificates on all vRA and vRO components.
vRA and vRO using a single PSC instance for single sign on.
In a test environment we are working with the Advanced Service Designer to create new service blueprints and resource actions. I have set up the vRO appliance as an endpoint within vRA and then specified it explicitly for my tenant under Administration>Server Configuration. The test connection works fine and I can browse the vRO inventory under Advanced Services when creating service blueprints or resource actions without issue, and have successfully created a service blueprint to deploy a VM which works fine, VM is provisioned and appears in vRA. I'm having a strange problem with the resource actions though, I can create and publish resource actions in vRA under Advanced Services but when I try to use them the form isn't loading and I get a generic error message.
For example, following the VMware documentation I used the Quick Migration of Virtual Machine preconfigured workflow and published it as a resource action in ASD, and associated it with a Service and Entitlement so it could be used. When I select a VM under Items in vRA I see the icon for the resource action and can select it, but then the request form doesn't load (for this workflow it should prompt you to select the destination host to migrate the VM to) and in red text the message "Unable to find resource. Script action com.vmware.vcac.asd.mappings/mapToVCVM cannot return result" appears and the spinning wheel icon remains on screen until vRA times out and logs the user out.
I've tried other vRO workflows (custom made) and tried selecting the action on both a VM provisioned using my custom ASD service blueprint as well as a vanilla windows vRA blueprint but they all result with the same error. Also tried a complete shutdown and power up of vRA and vRO without success. There are no errors in catalina.out on the vRA appliances when the error appears on screen, but around the first time it appeared there was a warning in the log "GET request for https://vRO_FQDN:8281/vco/api/catalog/Workflow+documentation/metadata/ico resulted in 404 (Module 'Workflow+documentation' not found); invoking error handler" and then a couple more similiar messages about "Error making request to vCO. Reason: 404 Plugin 'Workflow+documentation' not found". The catalina.out file on the vRO appliance appears to have a java.lang.NullPointerException message around the correct time for the error appearing on screen but not 100% sure whether it is related or if I am even looking in the correct log file.
In vRO I can see the mapToVCVM workflow in the inventory as described in the VMware docs under Orchestrator>vCAC>ASD>Resource Mappings>vCenter and the account I am logged into vRA as is a tenant admin (with user role in associated service, entitlement and business groups) and a vRO admin.
On another test rig I have been able to publish the Quick Migration of Virtual Machine without issue using the same configuration and use the action to migrate a VM in vCenter from vRA, although this was v6.2.1 of vRA and v6.0.1 of vRO.
Has anyone has seen something similiar or have any ideas on what might be wrong to help with troubleshooting this.
There's been a lot of discussion about sleep/wake issues, but VMware is allegedly unable to reproduce the issues. I've offered them access to my logs and even to reproduce the bug for them on my equipment, which they have never taken me up on. I'm hoping that by consolidating everyone's reports in one thread, it may help get this issue the attention it needs.
To that end, my own experiences are below. I originally typed this up in response to a question in a different thread.
The Mac has two sleep modes:
When you put a Mac to sleep, it initially enters regular sleep. Resuming from this state is no problem. But after a few hours (or when the battery drops below a certain percentage,) the computer hibernates.Waking up from hibernation is where the problem happens. The computer restarts, writes the contents from the sleep image back into memory, and you resume where you left off. But in some cases, Fusion interferes with this process, leading to a corrupted sleep image. And when the sleep image gets corrupted, the host OS will kernel panic on resume.That forces a full reboot, leading to the loss of all open work in all applications across the host and all guests. As far as bugs go, this is a pretty severe one. It has persisted across the last few versions of VMware Fusion (7.x and 8.x at least; not sure about 6.x.) Resetting the PRAM or the SMC has no effect. There are two known workarounds:
VMware has acknowledged this as an actual bug in the past, but no fix has been forthcoming.

We had a power outage 3 months ago and since, We sometimes encounter problems with VMOTION launched automatically by the vcenter.
They end up in error with messages :
- Operation timed out.
- The operation is not allowed in the current state.
Looking in the vmware-xxxx.log of the machine, I realized that the VM could not delete a log file. The message is :

vmfsfilelockinfo Version 1.0 Looking for lock owners on "vmware-26.log" "vmware-26.log" is not locked by any ESX host and is Free Total time taken : 0.02 seconds.
But if I manually delete the file (wmvare-xxx.log) the VMOTION works well.

I have plugin deployed on vsphere 6.7 on both Flex and HTML version.
Plugin is developed using html-client sdk . Now post-deployment vsphere-client[Flex] web-platform.js gives proper serverGuid but same fails on html client i.e vsphere-ui.
Flex client return proper serverGuid = xxxx xxx xxx xxx
whereas in html client we are getting serverGuid as null.

Hey everyone I am at last resort, I am running 12.5.9 build-7535481 VMWare Workstation
A VM with Windows Server 2012 R2 is provided to us for installation of a Hyper-V Role.
I can install the Hyper-V role fine and restart but upon restarting it hangs on the loading screen for some time before loading up a BSOD Watchdog Violation Error.
I do not know where to start looking as I have already googled my heart out and tried other forums but I cannot figure it out, some students have had the similar problem and mentioned it was a BIOS issue.
I am using a HP Notebook Windows 10 updated and everything, SSD Samsung fully updated as well.

I have a standalone 6.5u2 host with an ip of 192.168.1.30 and a hostname of ryzesx (ryzen based).
I am having problems where at times I am unable to connect to the console of certain vms and Ive discovered that this occurs when the host ui is resolving the incorrect IP address.
By this I mean at the top right where it has username@hostname - at times I will see root@ryzesx.local and times root@192.168.1.15 - when its the 15 address the console doesnt work.
I have tried multiple times, browsers, incognito, clearing cache and sometimes it works as it should and others not so; it appears to be in consistent.
nslookup for ryzesx.local points to 192.168.1.30; esx host and clients all share the same dns server.
Image below - in order from top to bottom:
1. chrome - no work root@192.168.1.15
2. chrome incognito - no work root@192.168.1.15
3. Firefox - working root@ryzesx.local
But a while later from the same pc no change - chrome incognito is working.
Any ideas?
