VCP6-DCV lab environment: 6.0 vs 6.5

I took "vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage plus Optimize and Scale Fast Track [V6.0]" in December 2016 and have built my lab based on vSphere 6.0 to study for VCP6-DCV. Due to problems I am encountering I am wondering if I should upgrade from 6.0 to 6.5. My first question is: are there separate exams for 6.0 vs. 6.5? Second question is: if I upgrade to 6.5 will that cause me grief in preparing for a 6.0 exam?
