My goal is to use esxi passthrough to enable Quick Sync (HEVC) encoding on Kaby Lake CPUs. As a test, I installed esxi 6.5 on an old intel Nuc - 5th Gen Haswell i5. This Nuc should support Quick Sync (h264). This is not for gaming, but video processing, so I don't 'need' the video output from the card sent to a monitor. There are some people reporting success, but I can not get it to work. My windows 10 install sees the card (Intel HD Graphics 5000), but it stops the card after it reports errors (Error Code 43) -- see below. Any tips or advice would be welcome.
