vSphere Permission needed for ISO mount using VMRC

Hello,

 

I'm using VMRC 9 in a vSphere 6 environment.

We provide limited permissions to other admins, to allow them console access and mointing iso images.

The permissions work fine in vSphere, they can mount ISOs using the VM settings (browsing a datastore, mounting the ISO file, connect\disconnect the drive), but the same does not work with the VMRC - there's a generic "Permission to perform this operation was denied." error. This says nothing really, and since the problem is VMRC speicific, I cannot get a verbose output of the exception, similar to powerCLI, when you get the exact permission name, when something is missing.

 

I assume this has to do with some missing Host permissions. I've edited the role and added the "Host > Local operations > Reconfigure virtual machine" permission, and applied it on the ESXi Hosts, but still get the error.
