Hey guys 
We experienced some WEIRD error yesterday in one of our servers (LENOVO 7518A15 (BIOS 9HKT43AUS) - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz / 4 GB RAM / 500 GB HDD / ESXi 5.1.0 797733), I'll explain:
Somehow, one of our network segments went down for an unknown cause. Doing some research, the cause seemed to be the server. When we plugged its network cable to the network, the other hosts in the switch were automatically disconnected until we disconnected the server from the switch. The switch is okay as we took a new one and plugged it in. Same result.
We then plugged a monitor to the server and got greeted with this (weird) Pink Screen Of Multiple Deaths (I say multiple deaths because this error took down all other hosts in the switch, hehe):
The last lines make no sense as the server has a 500 GB HDD and only like 80 GB are already in use. We hard-rebooted the server and everything is running fine, but I'm very wary now as we don't want this to happen as it's on a big rack and we can't afford to have the surrounding hosts down.
Logs weren't of much help, though I don't know how can I get them off using the vSphere Client, or how to read them using SSH, other than that, the only relevant entries we noticed was that the HDD temperature was above a treshold (115 > 0) and such (wtf? a treshold of zero?) so we guessed the server must have been overheating (it was put between two comps, something I didn't agree but I'm not the IT servers guy... if I were they would have to redo the entire rack). Anyways, that's it. Reboot and fixed, but wtf happened?
I mean, is there any way any of you guys could please shed some light in what can we do in order to find out what was the real cause of this problem and how to solve it?
