Hi,
I try virtualizing my new workstation - Dell Precision M3800, from last few weeks. On the site vmware is note about full support for 3D and QHD+.
First, I tried virtualizing Win7Pro x64, but I had a lot of performance problems.
Station is based on Windows 8.1 Pro, 64-bit, and:
Intel® Core™ i7 (4712HQ)
16GB2 DDR3 SDRAM at 1600Mhz - 2 DIMMS
NVIDIA® Quadro® K1100M with 2GB GDDR5
15.6" QHD+(3200x1800)
500GB2 SATA
Guest based on Win8 x64 Pro.
I assign a resource:
- 8 core
- 8GB ram
- 2GB + 3D support
- etc.
My problem.
After switching guest to the full screen mode, with option Autosize set on "Aurofit Guest" - this option try to fit to the native resolution - in my case to 3200x1800 - I get black screen.
In other option of Autosize, guest automaticlly switch to 800x600 in full screen.
Do you have similar experiences? Maybe you have solution?
