Hi VMware experts,

Need you help in resolving a issue.

I have  the following vmdk descriptor file sda.vmdk and the sda-flat,.vmdk file

Disk DescriptorFile

version=1

encoding="UTF-8"

CID=1eed866e

parentCID=ffffffff

isNativeSnapshot="no"

createType="vmfs"

# Extent description

RW 2097152 VMFS "sda-flat.vmdk"

# The Disk Data Base

#DDB

ddb.adapterType = "buslogic"

ddb.geometry.sectors = "32"

ddb.geometry.heads = "128"

ddb.geometry.cylinders = "512"

ddb.uuid = "60 00 C2 9d 4b 04 74 e0-cd bf be 7e e3 7d f1 c5"

ddb.longContentID = "4270b56ea10a34306eb588651eed866e"

ddb.virtualHWVersion = "8"

The sda-flat has two linux partitions shown below

Disk sda-flat.vmdk: 0 MB, 0 bytes

34 heads, 61 sectors/track, 0 cylinders

Units = cylinders of 2074 * 512 = 1061888 bytes

        Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System

sda-flat.vmdk1   *           3        1011     1046333   83  Linux

sda-flat.vmdk4               1           2        2043   83  Linux

Partition table entries are not in disk order

Can you please suggest how i can resize this disk. Also i am confused about the mismatch between the hardisk geometry information present in the vmdk descriptor file and the output from the fdisk.

Regrds

Ivan
