Hi guys, need some help please. We have a MSCS cluster running on vCenter 5.1. I am seeing for some VMs, guest memory is less utilized but host memory is highly utilized, not sure what is causing this issue. Do you recommend to go for reservation?
Below are few details about environment:
No of ESXi servers - 4
ESXi Version - 4.1
Total Memory - 128 GB per host
No of guests - 34 VMs totally
Affinity rules - Yes, there are two groups in which 17 active nodes are running in one group and 17 passive nodes are running on another group. Each group has 2 hosts.
Attached the screenshot, please suggest how to troubleshoot. We are getting high memory alerts for host even though vms are using less memory only.
