VM IP Address keeps incrementing

Hi,

Here is my environment:

VMWare Fusion version: 8.5.8 (5824040)

Mac OS Version: 10.12.6 (Mac OS Sierra)

VM Guest OS: CentOS release 7.1

The problem I am facing is that my VM image has the IP address incrementing once every 15-20 minutes. For example, when I boot up the VM, the IP address is 192.168.0.46. Then after 15-20minutes, the IP address in the VM automatically increments by 1 to 192.168.0.47. I have tried setting a static IP address for the VM by editing the dhcpd.conf file. But that did not work. The IP address keeps incrementing every 15-20 minutes.
